I am experimenting with making a book-style case for a Kindle Fire using leather, which is trickier than using fabric. Here is my first creation, which turned out better than I had expected.

More Kindle Fire cases / covers (Book-cover style) from Belvidesigns on Etsy
I really wish there were more hours in a day so that I could create more things with all the beautiful fabrics I have accumulated. I just love pretty fabrics and I have been known to get completely absorbed in looking at the gorgeous textile in stores like Joann's for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Of course whenever I am there I also have to check out the sewing and quilting books they stock. It's simply heavenly to be surrounded by such beautiful things. Kindle Fire cover / sleeve / case - Retro colorful fabric with pink button and elastic closure
This is a custom-order case that's a little different from my original "book cover" style Kindle Fire cases. This one has a button and elastic closure, which is cute! As you probably know, my preference is always Velcro closure, for many reasons.

A few more greeting cards from my collection. The first one is based on a color-pencil drawing of mine from a few years ago, the rest are all based on my photographs of birds, cats, and other backyard animals I see almost daily. They are our friends, really, especially the birds that my husband feeds regularly.
